Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers Celebrate 2025-26 Season at Annual Awards Banquet

AMHERST, NS — The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers gathered this evening at the Amherst Lions’ Den to celebrate the 2025-26 season during the club’s annual awards banquet. The event brought together players, billets, staff, sponsors, and supporters for a night dedicated to recognizing individual achievements and reflecting on a memorable year.

The evening began with a meal catered by Duncan’s Pub before attention turned to the presentation of team awards.

Tyler Moroz was named Billet of the Year, recognizing his dedication and support of the Ramblers organization. Rookie Hudson Bradley earned Rookie of the Year honours following an impressive first season with the club. Team captain Mark Corbett was presented with the True Grit Trophy, acknowledging his leadership and determination throughout the year.

Veteran blueliner Owen Aura was named Top Defenceman, capping off a strong 20-year-old campaign on the Ramblers’ back end. The Captain’s Choice Award went to rookie forward Anthony Morin, while Jeremie Richard was honoured with the Most Improved Player Trophy. Jacob Kaine received the Clean Play Award for his discipline and sportsmanship.

Dairen Reynolds was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for his outstanding contributions to the community. Cooper Cormier earned the Academic Award, highlighting his success in the classroom. Jack O’Blenis was a double award winner, taking home both the Players’ Choice Award and the Fans’ Choice Award. Anthony Gaudet also captured two major honours, finishing the night as the team’s Top Scorer and Most Valuable Player.

The banquet concluded with a special tribute to the graduating players: Tyler Moroz, Jacob Kaine, Jack O’Blenis, Thomas Gagnon, Owen Aura, Mark Corbett, Cooper Cormier, and Ryan Hayes. Each was presented with a framed photo to commemorate their time in a Ramblers uniform and their contributions to the organization.
