Comeback In Berwick
The tagline of this game was “It’s not over ’til it’s over”. The Amherst Ramblers come back late in the third to make it 11 wins on the season.
The game would start off pretty quiet with only one goal scored in the opening period, it would go to the Ramblers with Owen Sparkes beating the Wildcat’s goalie with two minutes to go in the first to give the Ramblers the lead at the intermission.
Valley’s offence would make a mark in the second, scoring a pair of goals to give their team the lead after 40 minutes.
The Wildcats would pick up right where they left off, extending the lead to 3-1. The Ramblers would start to make some noise after that third goal with Drew MacIntyre being left all alone in front of the net and cutting the lead down to just one. Owen Aura would get a clear shot on goal to tie the game 3-3. This game would get blown wide open by Charles-Antione Lavalle he put up a natural hat-trick for the team’s fourth, fifth, and sixth goals of the game. Jack Howatt had another sturdy game, making 41 saves and was named the game’s first star.
The Ramblers continue a long stretch of road games this Thursday as they travel to Pictou County before making the trip to Northern New Brunswick to face Edmundston and Grand Falls this weekend.
