Date Set For 2024 MHL Entry Draft
The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is pleased to announce that Eastlink Community TV will carry the 2024 MHL Entry Draft. The first two rounds of the event will be broadcast live on Saturday, June 15th starting at 10 a.m. on channels 10 and 610 in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland.
Join host Mavs Gillis with draft analysts Dan Hobson, Greg MacDonald, and Mike Smith as they break down the selections from the MHL’s twelve teams. Coverage on Eastlink will include interviews with players, coaches, and general managers. Eastlink’s broadcast will also be available live on their YouTube channel so that fans in New Brunswick and elsewhere can watch their coverage of the first two rounds.
Fans will be able to see each selection in the 2024 MHL Entry Draft as they’re made at themhl.ca, powered by HockeyTech and Rinknet, or through the league’s social media accounts in addition to the live coverage on Eastlink Community TV.
The draft consists of 10 rounds in total, two of which are territorial selections. Teams can each make up to two territorial selections, draft picks from their area, and teams that do not are given compensatory selections after the 2nd and 3rd rounds, respectively. These selections will be announced before the draft.
