Fraser Commits to Ramblers

AMHERST, NS | April 20, 2026 — The Amherst Ramblers are pleased to announce that Amherst native Ethan Fraser has committed to the organization for the 2026-27 Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) season. The commitment of the local talent marks the arrival of a premier offensive talent and signifies a key milestone in the team’s strategic roster development.

Fraser’s journey back to the Amherst Stadium is paved with a dominant final year in the U18 ranks. Skating with the Weeks Majors, Fraser transformed from a promising prospect into a focal point of the Nova Scotia U18 Major Hockey League. He played with a blend of finesse and “sandpaper” that made him a nightmare for opposing defenders, finishing the 2025-2026 campaign with an impressive 23 goals and 26 assists for 49 points in just 32 games.

The Ramblers organization also confirms that Fraser’s off-season preparation will include an invitation to the Cape Breton Eagles training camp. His participation in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) camp provides Fraser the opportunity to compete against major junior talent, an experience the Ramblers view as a vital component of his development.
