Klinck Joins The Team From Cochrane
Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers made a trade Tuesday with the Cochrane Crunch.
Amherst traded Future Considerations to Cochrane of the NOJHL for 19 year old, forward, Steven Klinck.
In a shortened Covid season Klinck had 8 goals and 14 points in 11 games with the Crunch.
“With the graduating players leaving we had some holes to fill upfront. We think with the trades over the summer, our drafts the last couple years, and this trade we are slowly piecing together a solid forward group.” GM LeBlanc said.
The Ramblers will be holding a mini-camp starting September 1st with games in Fredericton on the 3rd and 4th. This camp will consist mostly of 16-17-18-year-olds.
“With the season starting later and high school starting on the 7th we felt having most of the rookie spots decided by the time school started was important.”
Amherst will play its first home pre-season game vs the 2022 Fred Page Cup host Summerside Capitals on Sept 18th and it’s second on Sept 25th vs Pictou. Both Saturday night games start at 7:00pm.
