Mariners Top Ramblers 6–1 at the Mariners Centre

YARMOUTH, NS — The Amherst Ramblers faced a tough night on the road Friday, falling 6–1 to the Yarmouth Mariners at the Mariners Centre in Maritime Hockey League action.
Yarmouth took control early and maintained momentum throughout the contest, opening the scoring in the first period on a power-play goal and building their advantage from there. The Mariners added two more goals in the second period — one on the power play and another at even strength — to take a 3–0 lead into the final frame.
Amherst’s lone goal came in the third period when Cooper Cormier finally broke through the Mariners’ defence at 16:22, providing a spark for the visitors and giving the Ramblers a scoreboard return in the loss.
Yarmouth answered with three more tallies in the third, including a power-play goal and an empty-netter, closing out the 6–1 result.
Special teams played a significant role in the game, with the Mariners converting three of six power-play chances, while Amherst was unable to score on four opportunities with the man advantage.
In goal, Keegan Warren turned aside 34 shots to earn the win for Yarmouth, while Amherst’s Hudson Bradley made 15 saves in the loss.
Despite the final score, the Ramblers showed grit and competed hard through 60 minutes. The team will look to regroup quickly and refocus as they continue their push in MHL play
