Massive Points
It was another classic Ramblers Bearcats rivalry game as both teams continue to fight for a spot in the playoff.
The Bearcats would get the better of the Ramblers in the first potting a quick pair of goals to hold a 2-0 lead heading to the second period.
In the middle frame, the Ramblers would finally solve the Truro keeper with Liam Dutcher breaking the goose egg, going post and in to make it a one-goal game. Owen Sparkes would continue the pipe show for the Rams as he copies Dutcher and ties the game 2-2. Truro would score with under 30 seconds left in the second to hold the lead heading to the third.
The intensity would ramp up in the final period with both teams knowing what’s on the line. Liam Dutcher would get the game even finding the loose puck at the side of the Truro goalie. Then, Aiden Dufault would make a strong keep at the blueline deke out one Truro player and score low blocker to put the Ramblers out front for the first time in the game. After the Dufault goal, Truro would go all out on offence but Jack Howatt and the Ramblers would keep the puck from hitting twine, including playing the last 1:11 on the penalty kill.
It’s no rest of the Ramblers as they hit the road tomorrow to Pictou County for another matchup with big playoff implications.
