Offence Powers On In Yarmouth

The Ramblers were looking to wrap up a six-game road trip with a win in Yarmouth, and they did.

The first period was a bit of a quiet one, compared to the rest of the game, with Jack O’Blenis scoring his 5th on the season and that would be all for the opening frame.

The second is where things would get fun. Liam Dutcher would throw the first of the period into the back of the net 1:44 into the second to make it 2-0, the Mariners would answer back with one of their own making it 2-1. The floodgates would open after that, Anthony Gaudet restored the Ram’s two-goal lead seven minutes into the second, and exactly 30 seconds later Cooper Cormier would bang home his 10th of the season to make it 4-1. Just shy of a minute after the Cormier goal Liam Dutcher would score his second of the game making it 5-1 and the goals kept coming with Alex Christmas and Cristiano Spadafora both scoring capping off a six-goal second and sending Amherst to the third up 7-1.

The game settled down in the third with only one goal being scored and that was by the Mariners 30 seconds into the period.

The Ramblers return home this Sunday looking to carry the momentum from this one as they face the division-leading Summerside Capitals.
