Perron Joins Amherst From QMJHL

On Tuesday, the Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers landed 20-year-old free agent Mathis Perron from the Gatineau Olympic of the QMJHL.

Perron, a 20-year-old Sherbrooke, QC native,  was originally an 11th-round pick by the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the 2020 QMJHL draft. After making the team, as a 17-year-old, Perron would become a consistent part of the Huskies’ offence, spending the past three seasons with the team tallying 96 points in those three seasons, averaging 32 points a season.

The 6’01 194 forward will add even more firepower to the Rambler’s front end, joining other talents from the QMJHL such as Charles-Antoine Lavallee, Jonah Jelley, and Jaden Reyers.
