Perron Named MHL Forward Of The Month

Top Forward – Mathis Perron (Amherst Ramblers) – The 20-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec leads the MHL scoring race after the season’s first month. Perron tallied five goals and seven assists, both second-most in the league, in just four games. He tallied game-winning goals in Amherst’s first three games and leads the league in that category. Perron is also second in both powerplay goals (three) and powerplay points (five).
Perron scored the overtime winner and tallied five assists in Amherst’s season opening 6-5 win over West Kent on September 14th. He notched two powerplay goals in a 5-2 win over Valley on the 21st, and then had one goal and two assists in a 3-2 win over Truro on the 28th. Perron finished the month with a powerplay goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over Yarmouth on the 30th.
