Ramblers Crush Pictou County
The Ramblers ended their losing skid tonight on the road in Pictou County.
Jonah Jelley opened the scoring for the good exactly nine minutes into the game on the power play from Huggan and Savoie. Pictou County would answer back just before the end of the first to send the game into the intermission tied 1-1.
The Crushers would come out of the gate hot to start the middle frame, scoring three minutes into the period to take the lead, Brandon Cormier would draw us back even two minutes later. Pictou County would get one more before the period came to an end leading 3-2 after 40 minutes of play.
We would own the third period scoring three goals in the period. Alex Siletskily would get us tied back up four and half minutes into the third, and just 14 seconds later Jack Connors would give us the lead and we didn’t look back. Colby Huggan would add a goal with four to go and we pick up the two points on a Sunday night.
Jack Howatt picked up his fourth win as a Ramblers making 29 saves and being named the game’s first star, and a two-point night for Brandon Cormier earned him third star. Our road trip continues Friday night in Truro before we return home for the final time this season Saturday night.
