Ramblers Fall 7–2 to Crushers in Tough Road Night

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pictou County, NS — The Amherst Ramblers faced a difficult matchup on the road Thursday night, falling 7–2 to the Pictou County Weeks Crushers in a game where the home team controlled the pace from start to finish.

Pictou County struck early and kept the pressure on throughout the opening periods, using sustained offensive zone time and quick transitions to build a sizeable lead. Amherst worked to generate momentum, but the Crushers continued to capitalize on their chances, pulling ahead with a string of goals that put the Ramblers on their heels.

Amherst found the back of the net twice, battling to stay within reach, but the combination of defensive breakdowns and Pictou County’s steady attack proved too much to overcome. Despite strong individual efforts, the Ramblers were unable to mount the push needed to cut into the lead as the Crushers’ scoring spread across multiple players.

While the final scoreline wasn’t in Amherst’s favour, the team will look to use this game as a learning opportunity. Playing in a challenging rink against a determined opponent highlighted areas to tighten up, particularly in defensive coverage and puck management under pressure.
