Ramblers Name O’Blenis and Aura as Assistant Captains

AMHERST, NS – September 10, 2025 — The Amherst Ramblers are proud to announce that Jack O’Blenis and Owen Aura have been named assistant captains for the 2025–26 Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MHL) season.

The leadership appointments reflect the team’s confidence in both players—on and off the ice—as they prepare to guide a competitive and determined Ramblers squad into the new campaign.

O’Blenis, a returning forward from Moncton, NB, has quickly become known for his high motor, physical edge, and relentless work ethic. A key contributor last season, he brings experience, toughness, and vocal leadership to the locker room.

Aura, originally from Kamloops, BC, is a calm and steady presence who plays with poise and maturity well beyond his years. Whether anchoring key defensive shifts or mentoring younger players, Aura has quietly become one of the team’s most trusted figures.

The duo joins the Ramblers’ captain Mark Corbett in forming a leadership group focused on setting the tone for the team—on the ice, in the gym, and in the community.

As assistant captains, O’Blenis and Aura will play key roles in unifying a talented roster that blends returning veterans with promising new faces. Their leadership will be instrumental in navigating the challenges of a long MHL season and building a culture rooted in accountability, hard work, and team-first values.
