Ramblers Prospects Capture U18 Atlantic Championship

April 6, 2026, Quispamsis, NB — The Amherst Ramblers are proud to congratulate prospects Ian Lovett, Chandler Bell, and Jax Ginnish on capturing the 2026 U18 Atlantic Championship in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, as members of the Halifax Macs.
The trio played key roles throughout the tournament, contributing to a strong and consistent team effort that culminated in a championship performance on the Atlantic stage. Their dedication, compete level, and ability to perform in high-pressure situations were evident from the opening game through to the final.
Jax Ginnish led the way offensively and was named Tournament MVP and top defenceman, finishing with an impressive 4 goals and 2 assists in 4 games (4GP, 4G, 2A). Ginnish proved to be a dynamic offensive presence, generating scoring chances and delivering timely production when it mattered most.
Ian Lovett showcased his all-around game, contributing 1 goal and 2 assists in 4 games (4GP, 1G, 2A) while providing reliable play in all zones throughout the tournament.
Between the pipes, Chandler Bell was outstanding, recording 3 wins in 4 games (4GP, 3 Wins), including a shutout performance in the championship final to backstop the Macs to victory.
The Halifax Macs’ championship run highlighted the strength of teamwork and resilience, with Lovett, Bell, and Ginnish each playing a crucial role in bringing the title back to Nova Scotia. The trio and their teammates will now move into Peterborough, ON, to compete for the U18 National Championship.
