On a crisp Saturday night at Amherst Stadium before a crowd of 835 fans, the Ramblers lit up the scoreboard in a 6–3 win over the visiting West Kent Steamers. What began as a back‑and‑forth game turned into an offensive showcase for Amherst, with the home side firing on all cylinders.

Amherst wasted no time asserting themselves. Just 4:06 into the game, Darien Reynolds opened the scoring — assisted by Jack O’Blenis and thomas Gagnon — setting the tone early. Barely three minutes later, at 7:24, Thomas Gagnon bagged another, with helpers from O’Blenis and Reynolds, giving Amherst a quick 2–0 lead.

West Kent pushed back late in the frame. At 18:51, O’Brien cut into the deficit (assisted by Lanoue and Paulhus), and at 19:31, Boudreau tied the game just before the horn (on a pass from Hendrickson and Grenier). The frame ended deadlocked 2–2.

The momentum swung Amherst’s way in the second. At 8:07, Mark Corbett capitalized on a power play (assist to Owen Aura) to put Amherst ahead 3–2. Then, at 11:46, Corbett struck again (assisted by Cooper Cormier), giving Amherst a two-goal cushion at 4–2 — and the Ramblers would not look back.

Penalty troubles flared on both sides, but Amherst’s special teams made theirs count. West Kent was assessed minors including a double minor for high-sticking (Minville) and roughing (Paulhus), while Amherst incurred a roughing call on Dyke.

In the third, Amherst kept the pressure on. At 7:39, Owen Aura scored (assisted by Cooper Cormier and Mark Corbett) to push the lead to 5–2. West Kent tried to respond, getting a power-play goal at 17:35 from Caines (assist by Lanoue), narrowing it to 5–3.

But Amherst salted it away with an empty-netter. At 18:40, Bailey Shortall finished off a pass from Zach Wheeler and Anthony Morin, making the final 6–3.
