Ramblers Strengthen Blue Line in Trade with Mariners

Amherst, N.S. — November 3, 2025

The Amherst Ramblers have added a new face to their defensive core, acquiring 2007-born defenceman Patrick Lambe from the Yarmouth Mariners in exchange for a 2026 5th-round pick.

The move brings a promising young talent to Amherst as the team continues to build depth and versatility on the back end.

Born in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, Lambe stands 5’11 and 179 lbs and shoots left. He was selected by Yarmouth in the 2023 MHL Draft (3rd Round, 48th overall) and spent the past season developing his two-way game with the Mariners.

While his junior career is still in its early stages, Lambe has earned recognition for his skating stride, calm decision-making, and strong compete level — traits that made him a standout among his peers in Newfoundland minor hockey before joining the MHL ranks.

The trade aligns with the Ramblers’ ongoing focus on developing a youthful, mobile defensive group capable of moving the puck quickly and transitioning effectively into offense.

Fans can catch Lambe and the rest of the Ramblers at the next home game at Amherst Stadium — and see the newest addition to the blue line in action.
