Sawyer Harvey Returns Home to Join the Ramblers

AMHERST, NS – The Amherst Ramblers are proud to announce the acquisition of Amherst native Sawyer Harvey, bringing a talented local defenceman home to continue his junior hockey career with his hometown team.

Harvey returns to Amherst after developing through several levels of competitive hockey, establishing himself as a reliable two-way defenceman known for his skating ability, puck movement, and strong defensive awareness. Throughout his minor and junior hockey career, he has demonstrated the ability to contribute in all situations while playing against high-level competition.

A product of Amherst’s hockey community, Harvey grew up watching the Ramblers and dreaming of one day wearing the club’s colours. That dream now becomes a reality as he joins the organization ahead of the upcoming Maritime Hockey League season.

Harvey’s hockey journey has taken him through competitive programs across Atlantic Canada, where he gained valuable experience playing against some of the region’s top young talent. His steady play on the blue line, ability to transition the puck, and commitment to the defensive side of the game have made him a dependable presence throughout his career.

The addition of Harvey strengthens the Ramblers’ defensive corps as the club continues building its roster for the 2026-27 season. His familiarity with the community, combined with his experience and work ethic, make him a valuable addition both on and off the ice.
