Thank You, Jacob
Jacob Kaine’s arrival in Amherst provided a massive boost to the Ramblers’ offensive depth and veteran presence. A Quispamsis, New Brunswick native, Kaine brought high-level experience from the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) to the Amherst Stadium, quickly establishing himself as a point-per-game threat and a clutch performer during the 2025–26 campaign.
Before joining the MHL full-time, Kaine spent two seasons with the Gatineau Olympiques in the QMJHL. Between 2023 and 2025, he suited up for 122 major junior games, recording 12 goals and 17 assists. This experience against top-tier talent shaped his defensive responsibility and prepared him to be a lead producer upon returning to the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
Kaine began the 2025–26 season with the Miramichi Timberwolves before being acquired by the Ramblers. His impact in Amherst was immediate and significant. In just 19 regular-season games with the Ramblers, Kaine found the back of the net 10 times, showing off a lethal finishing ability and a knack for finding open space in the offensive zone.
Kaine’s veteran poise was most evident during the 2026 MHL Cup playoffs. He played a vital role in the Ramblers’ semi-final push, consistently appearing on the scoresheet in high-stakes games—including a crucial overtime winner in the Game 4 victory against the Summerside Western Capitals. His ability to elevate his game in the postseason solidified his reputation as a “big-game” player for the organization.
Jacob Kaine will be remembered in Amherst as a highly skilled center who played a complete game. His brief but impactful tenure was defined by offensive efficiency and the leadership required to lead a team through a deep playoff run. Whether through a timely power-play goal or his relentless pursuit of the puck, Kaine left a lasting mark on the 2025–26 Ramblers squad.
