Thank You, Thomas
Thomas Gagnon arrived in Amherst as a high-skill addition with a “Major Junior” pedigree, providing the Ramblers with the offensive creativity and center-depth needed to compete at the top of the Eastlink South Division. The Plessisville, Quebec native made a seamless transition to the Maritime Junior Hockey League, quickly becoming a fixture in the team’s top-six rotation.
Before making his mark at the Amherst Stadium, Gagnon spent two seasons developing his game with the Victoriaville Tigres of the QMJHL. Playing in 94 games at the major junior level, he earned a reputation as a smart, disciplined playmaker. This professional approach to the game was evident from his first shift in a Ramblers jersey, as he brought a level of poise and puck-distribution skill that elevated his linemates.
In his debut season with the Ramblers, Gagnon proved to be one of the most consistent offensive contributors on the roster. Playing in 51 games, he recorded 19 goals and 7 assists for 26 points. While his assist totals were modest, his ability to finish plays was elite; he possessed a deceptive shot and a high hockey IQ that allowed him to find “soft spots” in opposing defenses.
Gagnon’s value to the Ramblers was best illustrated by his performance in high-leverage situations. He finished the regular season with 4 game-winning goals, proving time and again that he could be counted on when the game was on the line. This trend continued into the 2026
MHL Cup playoffs, where his defensive awareness and faceoff proficiency were critical during the Ramblers’ semi-final series.
Thomas Gagnon will be remembered as a “coach’s player”—someone who played a 200-foot game and could be trusted in every situation. His combination of QMJHL-honed skill and a relentless work ethic made him a fan favorite and a key pillar of the 2025–26 squad. As he moves forward in his career, he leaves behind a legacy of professionalism and offensive excellence in the town of Amherst.
