Wright to represent Ramblers at East Coast Prospects Showcase
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 24, 2025
AMHERST, NS – The Amherst Ramblers are proud to announce that forward Elliot Wright has been selected to represent the team at the upcoming East Coast Prospects Showcase, slated for Wednesday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pictou County Wellness Centre in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
Elliot Wright, a native of St. John’s, Newfoundland (born March 1, 2007), joined the Ramblers after being selected by the club in the 2023 MHL Draft (fifth round, 50th overall). He began the 2024-25 season in the QMJHL with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar before joining Amherst following the January trade deadline.
In his debut campaign with Amherst, Wright made an immediate impact, recording 10 goals and 6 assists for 16 points in 20 games. His offensive instincts and size were on display throughout the season, highlighted by a hat-trick performance in a 7–4 win over the Valley Wildcats on February 6 and a three-point night in a 5–3 victory against the Pictou County Weeks Crushers on February 15.
Standing 6’3” and 190 lbs and shooting left, Wright brings a combination of size, skill, and scoring touch that has quickly made him one of Amherst’s most exciting young forwards. The Ramblers organization is thrilled to see him take this next step in front of scouts and evaluators.
The East Coast Prospects Showcase brings together the top under-18 players from the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) and the Quebec Junior AAA League (QJHL) for an elite exhibition event. The game offers players the opportunity to perform in front of scouts from the NHL, NCAA, U Sports, and various international programs.
