Thank You, Jack
Jack O’Blenis’s tenure with the Amherst Ramblers has been defined by a transformation from a reliable depth player into a cornerstone of the team’s leadership and identity. A native of Salisbury, New Brunswick, O’Blenis brought a high-motor playing style to the Amherst Stadium that quickly made him a fan favourite and a trusted presence in the locker room.
After a brief stint with the Miramichi Timberwolves, O’Blenis joined the Ramblers for the 2023–24 season and immediately established himself as a versatile forward. In his debut full season with the club, he recorded 12 goals and 9 assists for 21 points across 38 games. Beyond the scoresheet, it was his “physical edge” and “relentless work ethic” that stood out, as he finished the year as one of the team’s most reliable two-way players.
O’Blenis took a massive leap forward in his second year with the organization. Playing in 50 regular-season games, he nearly doubled his offensive output, tallying 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points. His performance helped propel the Ramblers into the MetalFab MHL Cup Playoffs, where he continued to produce under pressure, adding 4 points in 6 post-season games.
Recognizing his influence on and off the ice, the Ramblers organization named O’Blenis an Assistant Captain ahead of the 2025–26 season. In this leadership role, he mentored a younger roster while remaining a gritty presence in the lineup. In his final MHL regular season, he suited up for 40 games, contributing 17 points and providing the veteran toughness the team needed during a competitive semi-final run.
