It was a successful start to the 2024 Metalfab MHL Cup in front of 1,400+ once again.

Just like last game Anthony Gaudet would bring another packed house to its feet scoring from a blast on the powerplay just 3 minutes into the first period. The Rams would strike again in the first with Jonah Jelley extending our lead to 2-0, 3 minutes after Gaudet opened the scoring. Before the end of the period, Pictou would bring the game within a goal.

In the second Anthony Gaudet would continue his strong play potting his second of the game restoring the lead to two goals. Jaden Reyers would pad the lead by going five-hole to make it 4-1. That’s how the second would come to an end.

The Crushers would start the scoring in the second but that would be the final goal they would score in this one. Aiden Dufault, and the Ramblers would get the last goal in the game with the 20 year old finishing off the pass from Liam Dutcher to make the final 5-2.

Game 2 goes on Monday night as we hit the road to Pictou County.
