Jelley Named League Forward Of The Month

Top Forward – Jonah Jelley (Amherst Ramblers) – The 19-year-old from Moncton, N.B. played just three games in March, but made the most of them with five goals and four assists. Jelley was one of three players to score five goals this month, second only to Valley’s Lucas Byrne and Summerside’s Jonah MacDonald who each had six. He finished the season tenth in the MHL in points with 70, which led the team, and was last month’s honourable mention for Top Forward.

Jelley factored in nine of the Rambler’s fourteen goals in March. He had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 loss to Summerside on March 2nd and one goal in an 11-6 loss to Valley on the 8th. Jelley then scored twice in Amherst’s regular season finale, including the game-winner, and added three assists in a 5-2 win over Yarmouth to help the Ramblers clinch home ice advantage in the first round of the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs.
