Ramblers Add Two Defenseman From The North Division

We made two trades Wednesday night one with Grand Falls and one with Campbellton.

In the first trade, we acquired Joachim Matulu from the Grand Falls Rapids in exchange for a 4th-round pick in the 2023 draft and future consideration.

Matulu played one season with the Moncton Flyers before joining Grand Falls where he played two seasons, while also playing 8 games in the QMJHL with the Moncton Wildcats. Matulu has put up 12 points over two seasons with the Rapids.

In the second trade, we sent Riley Dubois to the Campbellton Tigers in exchange for Will Morrison, a 2024 4th-round pick, and future considerations.

The Charlottetown, PEI native is playing in his rookie season in the MHL, before coming into the league Morrison played parts of four seasons with the Charlottetown Knights in the NBPEIU18HL playing in 73 games and scoring 31 points as a defenceman.

We are excited to welcome Joachim and Will to Amherst, and we wish Riley all the best with his new team in Campbellton.
