Ramblers Prospects Shine at 2025 Monctonian Challenge

The Amherst Ramblers prospects entered the 2025 Monctonian Challenge with the natural mix of nerves and excitement that comes with playing on one of Atlantic Canada’s biggest stages, and across the tournament they showed exactly why the organization believes so strongly in its young core. From the opening puck-drop, forwards Brock Lyons, Tristan TurnerEthan Fraser, and Thomas MacPhee brought pace and purpose, each carving out moments where their work ethic tilted the ice in their team’s favor. Lyons flashed the offensive instincts that make him a constant threat, while Turner and Fraser leaned into the physical, grinding style that wears opponents down shift after shift. MacPhee added smart, responsible play along the boards, helping extend possessions and steady momentum when needed.

On the blue line, Jack White and Jax Ginnish formed the backbone of the group’s defensive identity. White’s calm, measured presence provided stability in the toughest stretches, while Ginnish blended physical edge with confident puck movement, showing glimpses of a defender growing more assertive with every game. Ian Lovett rounded out the skaters with his trademark dependability, quietly becoming one of the most trustworthy players in any zone—breaking up plays, supporting transition, and never taking a shift off.

Meanwhile, in the crease, goaltenders Chandler Bell and Jack Bell embraced the challenge of preparing for high-pressure tournament moments, adding depth and competition to their team’s goaltending structure. Even without heavy game action, the pace, preparation, and environment offered both young netminders valuable experience that will carry into their next steps.

Together, this group of Ramblers prospects didn’t just participate—they grew. They battled through tight games, learned from elite competition, and represented Amherst with effort, poise, and pride. Their combined performance painted a promising picture of the talent rising through the organization’s ranks, setting the stage for exciting futures ahead.

The Ramblers would like to congratulate Chandler Bell, Jax Ginnish, and Ian Lovett, who won the 2025 Monctonian Championship with the HFX Mac’s.
