Training Camp Update

With just over three weeks until the start of the regular season, the Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers players are starting to find their new normal in COVID-19 hockey.
Since October 1st the Ramblers have moved their training camp from the Eugene LeBlanc Arena in Memramcook, back home to the Amherst Stadium, and while training camp has only been running for eleven days Ben Williams, second-year forward can already tell what makes this team special. “It’s our depth, we have four top tier lines and that makes me excited for this season.”
The Ramblers have already played one pre-season game against the Fredericton Redwings, falling 6-2, although the game ended with a Ramblers loss Williams liked what he saw!
“It was tough, they had a lot of their returnees playing while we only had a few. It was a challenge for sure, playing with all the guys from U18, that this was their first “Junior A” game so the speed of the game was faster, it was tough but overall we really showed that we’re good in some areas, and need some improvement in other areas. I think with a full team, we’ll be really good this year.”
Amherst has five games left in preseason action.
