Getting Back To Winning Ways
The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers snapped a mini-losing skid tonight with a 4-2 win over the Campbellton Tigers.
It was a game of two tonight, with two goals scored in each period, Jonah Jelley padded his team lead in points as he opened the scoring with 6 minutes to play in the first, then three minutes later Brandon Cormier would score his third of the season sending the Ramblers to the locker room up 2-0.
Drew MacIntyre would continue the offence for the Ramblers, making the game 3-0 and then with about seven minutes left in the middle frame Christian Reardon would look to send a cross-crease pass to Drew MacIntrye, but luckily for Reardon the puck would bounce off a Tigers defender and go into the back of the next extending the lead to 4-0.
The Tiger would score a pair of goals in the third to make the game a bit closer, but, Jack Howatt wouldn’t let those goals bother him and he kept the ship steady, making 46 saves getting the win and first start of the night honours.
The Ramblers will be off for the rest of the month and be back home on Saturday, November 4th as the Yarmouth Mariners come to town.
