Ramblers Rally for 4–3 Overtime Win Over Campbellton
Paul Morrison Saturday, November 1, 2025 – Amherst Stadium
The Amherst Ramblers showed grit and determination on home ice Saturday night, storming back from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Campbellton Tigers 4–3 in overtime.
Amherst came out strong, feeding off the energy of the home crowd to open the scoring early in the first period. The Tigers responded quickly, however, knotting the game at one apiece before the intermission.
In the second period, Campbellton took control, scoring twice to build a 3–1 lead. But even down by two, the Ramblers refused to back down. Their persistence paid off in the final frame. Amherst clawed back with a pair of third-period goals, the first coming off a power-play chance that ignited the bench and the fans alike. Minutes later, they struck again to tie the game 3–3 and force overtime.
Overtime didn’t last long. Just 2:51 into the extra frame, Mart capped off a brilliant passing play from Anthony Gaudet and Cooper Cormier, burying the game-winner and sending the Amherst crowd into celebration.
Goaltending played a key role in the comeback. Hudson Bradley stopped 37 of 40 shots he faced and Amherst’s special teams also contributed to the win, going 1-for-4 on the power play while holding Campbellton to one goal on three opportunities.
With the overtime triumph, the Ramblers pick up a crucial two points and build momentum heading into their next matchup.
