Thrilling Win Over The Mariners.

It was another thriller of a game Saturday night against the Yarmouth Mariners for the Amherst Ramblers.

The Mariners would open up the scoring five minutes into the game, the Mariners would spend the better part of the period with the lead. With about 3 minutes to go in the first, Drew MacIntyre would bring the Ramblers fans to their feet sending a shot off the mask of the Yarmouth goalie to tie the game heading to the second.

The second would start the same as the first, with Yarmouth regaining the lead seven minutes into the middle frame, the Ramblers would respond with Goran Stobo getting his second goal of the season tying the game once again.

The third would turn into a goalie battle win neither netminder blinking an eye, we head to overtime.

In the extra frame, it was end-to-end action but still no deciding goal, until with under a minute left Jonah Jelley would flick the puck out of the Rambler’s end and hit a streaking Coen Strang, and he would make no mistake, Strang would send the Ramblers fans home with a smile on their face.
