Campbellton, NB — In a hard-fought showdown on the road, the Amherst Ramblers skated into Campbellton and escaped with a 4–2 victory over the Tigers, electrifying their bench and quieting the home crowd late in the third.

From the opening faceoff, Amherst imposed its will, leaning into physical battles and generating momentum. The breakthrough came late in the first period, when Anthony Morin buried a turnover at 18:08, giving the Ramblers a 1–0 lead and setting the tone for the night.

In the second period, Amherst struck early and often. Just 1:38 in, O’Blenis snapped a shot far-side to double the lead. The Tigers responded with desperation, but Amherst capitalized again when Anthony Gaudet potted a power-play goal at 11:23, assisted by Owen Aura and Zach Wheeler, stretching their advantage to 3–0.

Amherst’s special teams made a difference: they converted with the man advantage, while heavily pressuring Campbellton’s PK and outshooting the Tigers in the frame.

Campbellton refused to fold in the final frame: Parent struck at 2:31, sparking hope, and Lebrasseur made it 3–2 with a goal at 17:24, igniting the crowd. The Tigers’ surge was real — but the Ramblers had an answer ready. Just over a minute later, at 18:32, Amherst re-established a two-goal cushion with a power-play strike from Luke Jardine, assisted by Mark Corbett and Zach Wheeler. The Tigers pressed hard in the final minute, but Amherst’s discipline held firm; their penalty kill shut the door, and Bradley in net made key saves when it mattered most.

The Ramblers now shift their focus to tomorrow against the Lightning, riding the momentum from this win as they prepare for their next game in Bathurst. With confidence high, they aim to keep building their season — one gritty, resilient performance at a time.
