RAMBLERS DOMINATE CRUSHERS 4–1

AMHERST, N.S. – The Amherst Ramblers powered past the Pictou County Weeks Crushers with a 4–1 win Saturday night at Amherst Stadium, highlighted by a strong offensive effort and stellar goaltending.

Amherst jumped out to an early lead in the first period, with Anthony Gaudet opening the scoring at 4:34, assisted by Cooper Cormier and Tyler Moroz. The home side continued to apply pressure and extended their advantage when Jacob Kaine found the back of the net at 15:11 to make it 2–0 through one.

In the second period, Elliot Wright struck at 17:07, giving the Ramblers a commanding 3–0 lead after 40 minutes of play.

Pictou County responded in the third period with a power-play tally from Dom MacKenzie at 11:54, cutting into Amherst’s lead, but the Crushers were unable to sustain a comeback. Amherst put the game out of reach with a late insurance marker from Gaudet, his 20th of the season, at 19:49 to seal the 4–1 victory.

Shots were 33–29 in favour of the Ramblers, and goaltender Brandon Lavoie was solid between the pipes, stopping 28 of 29 shots to earn the win. Gallant made 29 saves in relief for Pictou County.

With the win, Amherst improves its momentum at home as the club continues its push in the Maritime Junior Hockey League standings. The Ramblers return to action in upcoming games against divisional rivals.
